First of all, the choice of storage location should focus on dryness and ventilation, and stay away from fire and heat sources to prevent the impact of humid environment on the dry powder inside the fire extinguisher. Moisture may cause dry powder to clump and adhere, and in severe cases it will block the nozzle, affect the spray effect, and even cause the fire extinguisher to fail. To prevent water vapor from invading, the storage area should have a good drainage and ventilation system to avoid the accumulation of accumulated water and moisture, and ensure that the fire extinguisher is always in a dry state.

During storage, appropriate spacing should be maintained for easy inspection and maintenance, and avoid excessive stacking and poor ventilation or difficulty in access. For fire extinguishers of different capacity and types, they should be stored reasonably according to their specifications to avoid overloading or stacking to maintain good stability.

During the storage process, regular inspection and maintenance are also indispensable to ensure the integrity of the fire extinguisher. During storage, regular inspections should be carried out to check whether the pressure gauge is within the normal range, whether the shell is intact, whether the nozzle is blocked, and whether the label is clearly visible. Especially after long-term storage, pressure detection and functional testing should be carried out to ensure that the fire extinguishing agent does not fail due to moisture absorption or other reasons. If leakage, rust, deformation or other abnormal situations are found, repair or replacement measures should be taken in a timely manner to avoid the risk of equipment failure when a fire occurs.

The storage environment must also comply with the requirements of relevant regulations and industry standards. For example, fire safety regulations put forward clear regulations on the storage location, quantity, marking, channel width, etc. of fire extinguishers. The storage area should be equipped with obvious safety signs and warning signs to remind personnel to pay attention to safety and avoid misoperation. For the storage of large or multiple fire extinguishers, a detailed management system should be formulated to ensure that each equipment can be properly managed and maintained in a timely manner.
